What we collect
- What you send through our preview form: your name, business name, email, phone, your answers to the template quiz, and anything you tell us about your business
- If you become a client: your billing details and the content for your website
Why, and our lawful basis
- To make your free preview and reply to you: steps you asked for before a contract
- To build and look after your website: to carry out our contract with you
- To keep invoices: because tax law requires it
We never sell your personal information. Limited business outreach is explained below.
Business outreach
We may contact UK companies using relevant business contact details published on their own websites. We record the business name, website, business email, any relevant public contact name, the source and date, and our correspondence and contact preferences. Our first message identifies where we found the contact details.
Where these details identify a person, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in introducing relevant website services to businesses, balanced against the person’s interests and reasonable expectations. This does not replace consent where electronic-marketing rules require it. We do not use this basis to cold-email sole traders or other individual subscribers who require consent.
We use Supabase to hold outreach records, Google Workspace for email, and Smartlead to manage campaign delivery, replies and unsubscribe requests. A verification provider may receive the business email address to check its deliverability. We do not use email-open or promotional click tracking for our initial garage pilot. We record delivery failures, replies and opt-outs.
You can object to direct marketing at any time, free of charge. Reply “no thanks”, use the unsubscribe option in our emails, or email hello@withcredo.com. We stop marketing to that address and keep a minimal suppression record so we can respect your choice.
We review inactive outreach records after the pilot and delete them within 90 days of the last outreach unless you have become an enquirer or client, or we need a limited record to meet a legal requirement. We keep minimal opt-out records while needed to avoid contacting you again. Our use of campaign tools does not involve decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
Website analytics
With your separate analytics consent, Google Analytics 4 measures page views, successful preview requests, checkout and contact-link clicks, explainer video use and scrolling. Google receives browser and device information and event data. We remove query strings from page addresses sent to Analytics and do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, form answers or chat content. Google advertising personalisation is disabled. You can withdraw consent in Cookie settings. See Google’s privacy policy.
Facebook and Instagram advertising
With your consent, Meta Pixel measures visits, service-page views, successful preview requests and checkout-link clicks, and helps us show relevant ads. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited receives browser and device information, the page address and event information, which may be linked to your Meta account. We do not send preview-form answers, email addresses or phone numbers through the Pixel, and automatic advanced matching is not enabled by our code. We do not treat a visit to our welcome page as a purchase.
You can reject advertising or withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings. We remember the choice for 180 days. Withdrawal stops future tracking; it does not undo information already sent. See Meta’s privacy policy for its use of information, international transfers and your rights.
Website chat and AI adviser
When you choose Ask Credo, we load our HighLevel/LeadConnector chat service. It processes your messages, any contact details you choose to provide, and technical information needed to operate the chat. Our AI adviser can answer questions about our services; you can ask to speak to the Credo team. Please do not share passwords, verification codes or payment-card details in chat.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry and take steps you request before a contract, and for our legitimate interests in managing enquiries and providing support. Starting a chat does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. HighLevel/LeadConnector and its service providers process chat information on our behalf. Chat messages are not sent to Google Analytics or Meta Pixel by our website tracking code. For access, correction, deletion or an objection, email hello@withcredo.com.

- Netlify, which hosts this site and receives form messages
- Cloudflare, which counts visits to this site without cookies or identifying you
- Stripe, which takes card payments
- Anthropic, whose AI (Claude) helps us write and build websites. We share only what’s needed for your site

Transfers outside the UK
Some of these companies are based in the USA. Transfers rely on the UK–US data bridge or standard data protection clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t go ahead are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for 6 years for tax.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit its use. Email us. If you’re unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use optional Google Analytics and Meta advertising cookies only with your permission, chosen separately in Cookie settings. You can accept or reject advertising and change your choice using Cookie settings.
- Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you.
- The template quiz keeps your answer in this browser tab only, so it can fill in the preview form for you. It’s deleted when you close the tab. This is allowed without consent because it’s needed for the thing you asked for.
We store your advertising choice in this browser for 180 days. Google Analytics may set _ga cookies and Meta may set _fbp and _fbc cookies, configured for up to 90 days. Rejecting advertising does not stop you using the website.
